Schedule of camp sessions:
2012 Calendar Year for Spring and Summer: Sessions will be held on the weekends with the exception of school winter break when camp will be available for the entire duration of the break. Please contact us to book one of our limited spots.
Class description [Level 1]:
Our “level 1” youth kayak day camp is designed to teach new paddlers the basics of kayaking. The classes are run from 9am to 3pm. Kids will learn kayak basics including basic paddle strokes, turning, stopping, self-rescue, & Eskimo rescue. Due to the technicality of paddling, the instructor will teach additional material based on ability of participants as well as other factors such as age, experience, etc.
To keep things exciting for youths, we will also play fun games before or after lunch on land and water such as soccer, volleyball, and even kayak polo. These type of games improve paddling skills, ball handling skills, social skills, teamwork, and respect for one another.
Location: To be announced for specific dates. Generally within an 1 hour driving from Berkeley, CA.
Our camp slots are filling up quick. Please contact us to book a spot for the summer of 2012. Contact Alex if you are interested! Email us @ contact@bayareacamp.com or call (650) 2000 FUN>>
